The Fame Factor


Are you a talented singer, dancer, musician or any type of entertainer? The Fame Factor launches 26th January 2018!

The Fame Factor is Ireland’s newest talent competition which will consist of 4 rounds:

– Video Entry Round
– First Round
– Second Round
– The Finale

The Fame Factor gives the talented people of Ireland and abroad the chance to win €2,500 and become ‘The Fame Factor Winner 2018’

On 26th January (Video Entry Round) contestants will be able to submit a video through a Video Entry Link or through the Fame Ireland Facebook page. By Submitting your video, you give permission for Fame Ireland to upload them to the Fame Ireland Facebook page and Youtube Channel.

We will soon notify each contestant whether or not they are successfully through to ‘First Round – Live Auditions’ which will take place on the Saturday 3rd March 2018.

First and Second Round scoring system:

Three judges will give each contestant between 1-5 stars, totalling 15 stars. Although supporters are not a necessity, it is worth noting that a star will be awarded per supporter up to 5 supporters. Additional supporters are welcome but will not be included in the scoring system.

Q. Is The Fame Factor free to enter?

A. Yes, for contestants it is completely free.

Q. How long does each contestants video have to be?

A. There is no time limit.

Q. Where will contestants video be shown?

A. All videos will be uploaded to Fame Ireland Facebook and Youtube.

Q. Will there be a live audience and judges at the First and Second Rounds?

A. Yes, Both will be present.

Q. How long after submitting a video will I know if I got through to the First Round?

A. Depending on how many entries, contestants will receive notice before the 17th February.

Q. When will the First Round take place?

A. The First Round will take place on the 24th March 2018.

Q. How long do contestants have to perform at the First Round?

A. Contestants will have 1-1:30 mins to showcase their talents.

Q. Are there age categories and/or awards?

A. There will be different categories but age is not a factor in the overall winner. Each category will have different prizes for each winner and runner up, excluding the Grand Prize of €2,500.

Q. What is the entry fee for supporters?

A. €10 per supporter for the First & Second Round. (Only 5 supporters will be taken into consideration for the star scoring system)

Q. When will the Second Round take place?

A. The Second Round will take place on the 14th April.

Q. When will The Finale take place?

A. The Finale will take place on the 5th May.

Q. What equipment do The Fame Factor provide?

A. We provide microphones, sound desk and speakers. All instruments and other equipment must be brought by contestants.

Q. What are our T&C’s?

A. Judges decisions are final. No arguments or appeals are acceptable. Every contestant and supporter will be treated equally and with respect. Bullying and other discrimination will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification.

Q. Under 18 parent permission.

A. Each contestant under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign a parental permission form.

  • Contestants that enter the ‘Video Entry Round’ give Fame Ireland permission to display all videos on the Fame Ireland Facebook, Youtube and other social media.
  • Fame Ireland are not responsible for loss of property during the Live Rounds.

Barry Sinclair’s talents have taken him everywhere from the Whitehouse in Washington DC to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and to London’s West End. He has shared the limelight with stars such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Luther Van Dross and Stephen Spielberg.


Lia Mullins

Former Irish open, British open & USA international dance champion.

Lia has danced all her life, and trained in London from the age of 12 and Italy from the age of 17. Lia is the school director for Lia Mullins Performing Arts school


Deirdre McCall

Soprano & Fame Ireland Entertainer of 2017

Deirdre is a Dublin based Classical Soprano who sings at major events and weddings. She won the Fame Ireland Entertainer of the Year award 2017.
